The Super Bowl berths are set after the NFC and AFC Championship games have been settled. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers will face off in Super Bowl XLV, or 45. On Feb. 6, the two teams face off at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The Super Bowl XLV: Steelers vs. Packers

Few television events compare in terms of viewership and spectacle to the Super Bowl, and Super Bowl commercial spots alone are a multimillion dollar industry. For the most watched television event in the U.S. history, the 2010 Super Bowl beat the “MASH” finale last year, and the record will likely be beat again in 2011 with the Super Bowl. Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, is where the game will be held on Sunday, Feb. 6. About 6:30 p.m., Super Bowl XLV will kick off on Fox. The halftime show will be featuring the Black Eyed Peas this year. Mike Pereira, Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will be in the booth during the game, and the pregame analysis will be done by the Fox NFL Sunday team.

Jets lost to Pittsburgh

In the AFC Championship, Rex Ryan and the New York Jets traveled to Pittsburgh with hopes of upsetting the third Super Bowl champion quarterback in as many weeks, after besting the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots. The Jets didn’t get a touchdown until the fourth quarter thanks to a relentless Pittsburgh defense. The AFC title went to Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers.

Too much pressure on Chicago

To win the NFC title, The Green Bay Packers traveled to Soldier Field for one of the most significant games in the Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers rivalry. During the game, Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler left the game with an injury, backup Todd Collins was benched after one series and rookie QB Caleb Haine came in to try to finish the game. Haine performed admirably, but the Packers’ defense proved too difficult, including an interception by defensive lineman B.J. Raji that was returned for a touchdown. Sam Shields ended up winning the game with another Green Bay interception.
