With Comic-Con 2010 still fresh in the minds of many fans, they’re already planning for Comic-Con 2011. Nov. 1 was the first day four-day passes were supposed to go on sale. Technical issues with the website shut down sales. Comic-Con 2011 organizers will announce on Nov. 8 when the four-day passes will go on sale.

Comic-Con 2011; get your passes

Today was supposed to be the day Comic-Con tickets started selling. Four-day passes were supposed to go on sale. The Comic-Con website overloaded very quickly after registration opened. There was a quick return for the Comic-Con website. However, the registration company’s website couldn’t process any more sales. Registrations got shut down completely by Comic-Con and registration partners after only a few memberships were sold. About 13 percent of badges that are available were sold. These mostly were pre-sold, though, to “special” customers.

2011 Comic-Con badges will sold again

Comic-Con badges for 2011 will be tough to get, as always. There aren’t as many up for sale as there are wannabe buyers. Memberships to the convention tend to be limited. Also, there is the concern of scalped badges sometimes. Only a few badges were sold during the Comic-Con 2011 registration today. In seven days fans will know when the re-opening of the registration will be, giving them extra time to plan their trips to California.

Prepare for 2011 Comic-Con

The 2011 Comic-Con is slated for July 20 through July 24 in San Diego. The largest science fiction/fantasy/film/television conventions in the world is what Comic-Con is considered after its 41st year. The San Diego Convention Center has been filled to capacity for years in a row although it can hold 125,000 people. Comic-Con and the San Diego Convention Center have a contract untill 2012, although overcrowding is a main concern. Because the concern for overcrowding and sold-out memberships is already a problem, you can be sure it will be packed.
