The second season of “Glee” has been fantastic so far. When a “Glee Rocky Horror” episode was announced it had people drooling with antici-(dramatic pause)-pation. It was broadcast on Tuesday. The episode was about the Glee Club performing “Rocky Horror Picture Show” for the Halloween pageant. Plot twists were a big part of the episode. The cast also was put into surprising roles in “Rocky Horror” that their characters wouldn’t be thought to fit into. ‘Glee Rocky Horror’ eagerly awaited
In the “Glee Rocky Horror” episode, the Glee Club instructor, Matthew Morrison’s character Will Shuester, puts on a production of “Rocky Horror” to get closer to Emma, the guidance counselor he is enamored with. The lead role of Dr. Frank N. Furter, a transvestite, ends up going to Mercedes, who does it perfectly, after problems with casting the part occur. Sue Sylvester points out that the play is completely inappropriate in high school and tries to bring it down. Sue is played by Jane Lynch. Eventually, the production is canceled because the subject matter is too adult for a high school, but the cast performs it just for themselves. MTV says this is probably the best TV show to feature “Rocky Horror,” though other shows have tried to before.
