Considering how much attention she has received, it isn’t often that a person might see Sarah Palin booed. However, booed she appeared to be on “Dancing with the Stars.” However, it may depend on who you ask. Palin attended an episode, as her daughter Bristol Palin is a contestant this season. Bristol Palin isn’t off to a horrible start either, although she is in the middle of the pack.

Judges – not Palin – booed

Sarah Palin showed up for an episode of “Dancing with the Stars” to watch Bristol compete for dancing glory. During the show, a loud round of booing began after the judges critiqued the routine from Jennifer Grey, according to USA Today. As the booing began, the camera panned down to the panel of judges, and there sat the former vice presidential runner-up. Tom Bergeron, one of the judges, insisted that the booing was due to the score being lower than the audience wanted Grey to receive for her performance with show partner Derek Hough. The audience actually applauded Palin.

The scores

Bristol Palin scored decently well, getting a 22. So far, Bristol has been solidly in the middle, so she is safe for now. Michael Bolton scored a 12, according to the Los Angeles Times. The crooner is next for the firing line. The athletes on this season, Rick Fox and Kurt Warner, both scored a 21 with good performances. Florence Henderson, “The Situation,” and Margaret Cho rounded out the bottom, ahead of Michael Bolton.

This season

So far, this season is off to a flying start. The appearance of the most famous state first daughter in the nation is certainly going to boost ratings. However, it is most likely going to be the fact that “Baby” from “Dirty Dancing” is on the show. Jennifer Grey became a cultural icon for the role, and so far she still seems to have her chops.
