Actress Jennifer Freeman, from “My Wife and Kids,” is accused of assaulting her NBA star husband, Earl Watson. Legal papers filed last week by Watson outlined details of the incident, stating that Freeman had attacked Watson because he was curious about a late-night text message she had received. Watson had also filed for divorce after the incident and was seeking full custody of their 10-month-old daughter.
Earl Watson v. Jennifer Freeman
According to court documents, Jennifer Freeman had received a text message at about 11 p.m. Aug. 1, which moved a suspicious Earl Watson to check into her phone, says TMZ. Watson said that Freeman, who was upset at the fact he took the phone, started to hit him “twice in the face with her right open hand.” He claimed she then grabbed and bit into his right wrist, “breaking the skin, leaving teeth marks and drawing blood.” After sinking her teeth in the wrist, Freeman allegedly proceeded to chomp down on his chest, drawing blood once again. But she didn’t stop there. According to Watson, Freeman even attempted to attack him with an iron, but he was able to prevent any more harm by knocking the object out of her hand.
Jennifer Freeman, who is 24, is best known for her role as Claire Kyle in the ABC television sitcom “My Wife and Kids.”
Are Earl and Jennifer back together?
Earl Watson, who played for the Indiana Pacers last season, appeared to have changed his mind about handing divorce papers over to his wife. On Thursday, Watson reportedly decided to withdraw his divorce petition. The gossip news site reports that the couple are reconciling and have plans to work out their marriage.
Earl Watson and Jennifer Freeman exchanged wedding vows May 17, 2009, and celebrated their marriage at TV producer Ed Weinberger’s mansion in Los Angeles. The couple’s first child, daughter Isabella Amour Watson, was born on Oct. 16 last year.
